Celine is a
celebrity patron for the CCFF.
She helps to raise funds & awareness for
the cystic fibrosis cause.
The disease has touched her personally.
The disease claimed the life of her sixteen year old niece
Karine (the daughter of Celine's sister Liette) in 1993.
I debated about weather to do a
dedication page on this topic
because of bringing up the past but I decided to share with
some of you Celine fans something that I got out of this when
listening to Celine talk about it one day in a interview.
Its amazing how just a few words can change your way of
thinking when in time of death.
I have been blessed with all my family right now
& dread the day when I may lose any of them & I thought I
could never be with someone when they die. But after hearing
Celine talk about being with Karine when she died it made me
look at death in a different way.
She said that just before she
passed away she was singing
very softly in her ear. She said she felt honored to be with her
as if it were a precious gift. She said that she felt she was
escorting her to Heaven. When I heard Celine say this I had
tears in my eyes. I think someday this may help me whenever a
loved one of mine is on their way to Heaven & because of this I
want to thank you Celine for giving me something besides your
wonderful voice
& music.
