Celine Dion, reigning queen of Las Vegas, got a visit from Zahi Hawass, the king of Egyptian antiquities, over the weekend. Hawass, Secretary General
of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities, worked in cooperation with AEG
Live to produce the blockbuster museum exhibition, "Tutankhamun
and the Golden Age of the Pharaoh,"which is currently
at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia until September 30.

Celine to do duet with virtual Elvis

 

Celine Dion joins one of the original American idols tonight --
 she's singing with Elvis on "American Idol."

The Caesars Palace headliner is singing "If I Can Dream" with a
virtual Elvis, similar to Natalie Cole's electronically created duet
 "Unforgettable" with her late father, Nat King Cole.

Standing in for Elvis during rehearsals was Elvis impersonator
Ryan Pelton, who has worked Las Vegas with "Legends in Concert."

"Idol" cast members also sang with the two during the taping this week,
according to the celebrity Web site tmz.com.

 

PLATES FOR PARKINSON'S

More than 30 celebrities have designed and
autographed plates to be auctioned on EBAY from April 20 to May 5 as a
fundraiser for the Parkinson Society Maritime Region in Canada. Proceeds
from the auction will benefit research, education and support services. The
tulip is the Society's symbol of hope and April is Parkinson's Awareness
Month. More than 1.2 million people in Canada and the US live with
Parkinson's for which there is no known cause or cure.


 

 

Celine on American Idol !
April 15 , 2007


Celine will make an appearance on American Idol for their special charity show,
'Idol Gives Back.' Several well known artists are also scheduled to appear,
including Gwen Stefani, Pink and Annie Lennox in an effort to raise awareness
for groups that help poverty-striken children in the U.S. and Africa.
This event will be part of American Idol's April 24 and April 25 episodes!

The album
We All Love Ennio Morricone will be released on
February 20th, just a few days before the famous music composer is
honoured at the Academy Awards (Oscars) ceremony on February the 25th.

Celine will sing the song I Knew I Loved You. Among the other artists featured
on the 17 tracks of this album are Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock,
Bruce Springsteen,  Andrea Bocelli, Yo-Yo Ma, Renée Fleming,
Roger Waters, Chris Botti and Metallica.

 

Céline's Voice Echoes In The Space

 Atlantis-Shuttle crew is packing things in preparation for Wednesday's
landing at the Kennedy Space Center after 11 days in space
and  making sure their vehicle is ready for the ride home.
 

The twelve astronauts of Shuttle woke up this morning to a recording of
Celine Dion singing "Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi" (Don't Leave Without Me),

dedicated to Canadian astronaut Steve MacLean.

Thanks to an all-star talent list headed by CELINE DION and a quarter of a million dedicated volunteers across the country, the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon set a record in contributions and pledges. As MDA's 41st Telethon ended the tote board showed an all-time high of $61,013,855 for the voluntary health organization's programs of research and services to benefit people with neuromuscular diseases.

 

Deal or not Deal finale with Celine

 

 For the finale, the stakes have been raised. Top prize is $5 million
 for contestant Casey Bell, a high school guidance counselor from
Temecula, Calif. Bell's favorite singer, Celine Dion, is
 beamed via satellite from Las Vegas to help answer the all
important question: Deal ... or no deal? "It's a big deal for our
family to be on Deal or No Deal," Dion says.
"I do not watch a lot of television, but we have been
hooked on that TV show."
She says it's because of her son, Rene-Charles, 5. Dion and
 her husband, Rene Angelil, have dinner at the kitchen table and
watch the show with him. "We love it. We cheer. 
We can't stand still." René-Charles is such a fan, she says,
that when he decided to play the game at home,
 "Dad had to go to the store one night about two months ago.
We had to buy some cases just like on the show."

 

 

Celine Dion Takes Home Another FiFi Award

 Coty Inc. was honored with four prestigious awards at
the 34th Annual FiFi Awards, held last night at the
Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
Celine Dion Parfums Belong, the third fragrance from
the singing sensation, was awarded the Best Packaging
of the Year in the Popular Appeal category.

Known as the "Oscars" of the fragrance world, this year's
 FiFi guests included, host, Geena Davis, designer,
Betsy Johnson, and actresses, Sarah Jessica Parker
&  Vivica A. Fox. Initiated in 1973, the annual  
New York City awards event was attended by over
1,000 people in the international fragrance community.
 

 

Entertainers Celine Dion and Elton John got on stage Monday night
to sing together for the first time, in a benefit to raise money for
Harrah's Entertainment Inc. workers hard hit by hurricanes.
The pair, who sang duets of "Sorry," and "
Saturday Night"
before a packed Colosseum at Caesars Palace, and
comedian Jerry Seinfeld joined forces to raise $2.1 million
for some 8,000 casino workers in the Gulf Coast region.
 

 

Celine Dion at the Grevin Museum On February 6


Celine Dion will forever be a part of the Grevin Museum with the unveiling
of her wax statue.  An exclusive preview presentation will take
 place on Sunday, February 5 during Michel Drucker's
 show, "Vivement Dimanche."

The opportunity to immortalize international superstar Celine Dion has
been Grevin Museum's long-time dream. Celine and Rene
 welcomed the museum team in Las Vegas in May 2005 when the
necessary measurements and photos were taken in order to create the statue.

 In October 2005, while in Paris promoting her latest CD, Celine and Rene
 Angelil approved the work of art and Celine was photographed with the statue.

Thibault Vabre, make-up artist to the stars and Celine's friend, worked with
Grevin's make-up artist to give direction on the final details of the statue.

 The 'Parisian' statue will be dressed in the extravagant, white embroidered
outfit that Celine wore during her two shows at the Stade of France in 1999.

The Celine Dion statue will be unveiled on February 6, 2006 in the
Grevin Museum Theatre. Special guests will include
Michel Drucker, Charles Aznavour, Henri Salvador and many
 other famous people from show business, politics, sport, literature and history.

The official unveiling of the second statue, which will remain on display at
The Colosseum at Caesar's Palace, will take place in Las Vegas in May 2006.
This will be Grevin's premiere on American soil. The statue will be in Las Vegas
in time for the benefit show celebrating the 500th performance of A New Day
On Monday February 6, Grevin will give Celine fans the magical opportunity
to be photographed "at her side."

RENE CHARLES SPOILED BY THE CHIRACS


Celine Dion and Rene Angelil's son, received on Tuesday a toy box filled
 with presents from the French President, Jacques Chirac and his wife
Bernadette. Indeed, the quite large present from the Chirac family, was
 delivered to RC, on Tuesday afternoon at the George V Hotel where
Celine was staying with Rene and their son.
It is told that Rene & Celine where all excited with this very
thoughtful present from the French President.

With this gift, the President wanted to thank the singer who accepted
to participate in a TV show put in a place to raise funds for the
 Paris-Hopitaux Foundation.

Celine Dion met Misses Chirac, last Monday on the set of the show.
She sang "Je Ne Vous OubliePas" and went back to her
hotel around midnight were many journalists were still waiting for her.

Martin eyes Coldplay duet with Dion

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin hopes to record a duet with

 Celine Dion in the near future, because he wants to push
 the band's sound to the limit.

The Clocks singer is determined to expand Coldplay's
sphere of reference and believes a duet with Canadian
Dion will help him achieve that aim.

He says: "We shouldn't restrict our options. To me, the
most bizarre things at the moment are the most exciting.
"I'd even be up for making a didgeridoo album in
 Alice Springs."

is a tribute album featuring performances of
Luther Vandross hits by various artists.
These hits range from his debut album to his last release.
 Celine took part in this beautiful project by performing
 "Dance With My Father", from Vandross' most recent album.

evening of music and laughter to benefit Las Vegas at-risk youth.

Celine Dion, Duran Duran,
Earth, Wind & Fire and George Lopez are just
 a few of the stars who will take the stage
 Saturday, Oct. 1 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
 Grammy Award-winning producer, arranger and composer
David Foster will return for his tenth year as musical director.
